End of a busy week

October 29th, 2004 · 3 Comments

Well it has been a busy week at work but I have got a lot done. I want to get more practice writing webservices

I will make another push in the next few days to clear as much junk as I can from the flat and generally tidy the place up, I promise, honest, I will, Scouts honour. :-)

At sometime next week I must have a look at the CSS that I am using on this blog, it looks okay in Safari but total crap in Netscape and Exploder.

This evening I booked tickets for a little trip down to London in a couple of weekends time.

While checking up to see if ol’ Gore Vidal was still alive and kicking I came across these great quotes from him, oh he is btw.

“A narcissist is someone better looking than you are.”

“I’m a born-again atheist.”

“Politics is made up of two words: “Poli,” which is Greek for “many,” and “tics,” which are bloodsucking insects. ”

I’m completely elated that you’ll be down for the weekend! Whee-hoooooo!

Oh, and I know what you mean about the CSS… I have to fix mine for my Exploder and Firefox using friends too… argh.

    smooches~

My site looks pretty much fine in IE - couple of indent issues but perfectly usable by those MS f***ers, and looks hoody doody in Firefox (and therefore, presumably Netscape).
As them from across the pond say: “neener neener neener” ;)

Actually, the way CSS is used within WordPress is a bit of a challenge to get things working how you want without tweaking the html. There’s a tute someplace that lists all the tags and all the elements using the tags… neil wanders off to search… aha!
    1. WordPress CSS Guides
    2. Annotated version of the standard WP CSS file

If you already knew these resources, then apologies for using up a few bytes of your database. ;)

    Hi nellus,

those links look very useful thank you, I did find something before that told you the undocumented tags, basically the useful ones :-)

I have started with a fresh copy of WP as this was easiest!
