Today is the 5th of May 2005 or 05/05/05 or 5/5/5 this of course means that the 6th of June 2006 will be 06/06/06 or yes da-dah 6/6/6
Sometime before that date I am naturally expecting the usual nonsense when a ‘Supernatural’ date occurs. Like the millennium crap when all the computers were going to stop working the earth was going to be destroyed by nuclear armageddon and the BBC were going to stop making new episodes of Last of the Summer Wine Yeah as if even armageddon would have stopped them!
So here are my predictions.
1. The world will not end because the calendar was invented by the human race and has no meaning other than telling you when the weekend is or when your holidays start and end.
2. There will be half a dozen version of what Nostradamus supposedly predicted would happen.
3. The Devil will not come riding into town and do all the nasty things that Old Nick is supposed to do because he does not exist.
4. There will be no ‘Second Coming’ sorry of you want Rapture then buy the track.
5. A Cult will pronounce it to be their day of salvation and some people will die needlessly.
6. Alien contact will be made and they will look like the Smash Martians
