This morning I took part in and completed the Vale of Leven 10k races which was the fourth and final race in the Polaroid 10K Series. My finishing time was 1 hour and 6 minutes which I think is quite good given the rain and that it was the hilliest of the four courses. The second kilometre was a killer all up hill. I have an abrasion on my left foot and a small blister on my right, both of which originated in the race at Helensburgh. I think I need to get new socks for running. Due to the rain my running shirt stuck to my body a lot more than usual and I have a slight case of joggers nipple.
At the moment my next race will be a 5K at Glasgow Green in July but I will keep hunting around to see if there are any more 10K that I can get to before the Great Scottish Run in September.

Way to go Kev!
Not being a runner, I can understand the discomfort of foot blisters, but is ‘joggers nipple’ a discomfort as well or are you just excited the race is over?

It is a discomfort BBC Health
I am feeling ill this morning with a migraine and nausea but I think it is unrelated to yesterday other than I will be a little more run down.
