Sunday Christmas shopping in Edinburgh is going well. At the moment I am taking a break for a coffee & a sticky bun.
The choice of coffee shops & consessions is large, like most towns & cities in the UK I guess. I chose this one got the view across to Edinburgh Castle.

Today I took a walk around Woolworths in the Shawlands Arcade, the closing down sale was in full swing. In common with most of the British public I have very nostalgic memories of Woolies.
The large Woolworths store that once dominated east end of Princes street in Edinburgh has a particular sentimental resonance for me. [...]
