2008 seems to have been long and hard for everyone, at times you could have legitimately questioned if the sun would rise the next morning.
I have had some down periods over the year but I do think I am learning to deal with them better and I am doing what I can to build methods of prevention. Simple things like keeping the flat tidy and getting the dishes washed asap can help a lot to prevent me from going into an apathy spiral. I need to deal with mail that comes in immediately and not end up with piles to be sifted through later.
I have ended 2008 lighter and fitter than I was at the start and I will be continuing that trend in 2009 so fingers crossed for running a 10k race in under and hour. My new gym programme will start in earnest early January.
This blog almost died from severe neglect especially over the summer months. I wish I could say I was too busy doing other exciting things but no, it was neglect. Micro Blogging has brought back my interest in blogging as it provides a way to build a little community or if you are on many systems communities. I am mainly active on Plurk but I am also on Twitter, Brightkite and Rejaw.
2009 is looking to have a busy start, there is stuff at work that I can’t go into. I don’t generally blog about work anyway as I have always tried to keep this as a sanctuary from work, also it is a legal/contractual minefield so it is best not to mention anything about the company etc. That being said I can say that in January I am going on a training course in Newcastle and I may be making a post about that and hopefully about my first trip to Newcastle.
I will be starting a 365 Photo Project on January the first, fingers crossed that I make it this time
Oh before I forget congratulations to my blog friend Laarni in the Philippines who got married the other day.
Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2009
