Caingorm Booze
Once again the dream of a long lie in on a Saturday morning was just a dream. Since the New Year I have found it next to impossible to stay in bed beyond around 7:30 weekdays or weekend. At the other end I find I just don’t want to goto bed early. Sleep is never something that I have been good at. However since the turn of the year my pattern of sleep has changed a lot & I am as yet unsure if it is forthebetter or not.
As a result of my sleep pattern changes today I was up had a shower, a healthy breakfast was out of the house by ten past nine. I am currently sitting in a Scandinavian furniture store trying Earl Gray tea for the first time in years.
I am here to get a shelf for the kitchen as part if my in going improvements. One of the main reasons for this spurt of home improvement is that it helps me feel better. I am not getting the general downs & feelings of isolation like I have in the past. I think my brain likes having a plan. I think I can trace a lot of my problems of the last 6 - 7 to a certain major life plan that didn’t happen and I have been drifting in many ways ever since.
In the last couple of years I have slowly been sorting things out but there is still room for improvement in most areas. Which I guess means most if my school teachers were right.
Anyway, the Earl Gray is finished & was a successful change so I’d better stack my tray and move on.

Free Spirit Parent Bingo can be played in any coffee shop or cafĂ©, especially one attached to a cultural venue like a theatre or a museum. It can be played by any number if people simply adjust the rules or have teams. You will also need a number of “free spirited” parents. Here are the rules for the basic two player game.
Most children’s names fall into the easily agreed groups of “plain” & “theatrical” .
In Scotland the “plain” group would be names like “Jack, Ross, Jane, Mary”.
“theatrical” names would be “August, Ophelia, Jagger, Ford”. Also any child named using the Beckham’s “place of conception” naming convention, like “Tent in the Campsies on a wet May Bank holiday”
Scoring.
When a name from your group is called out for bad behaviour score 1 point.
If the name is called due to making another child cry score 2 points.
If a parent has to leave their seat score 3 points.
If the parent physically chastises the child score 4 points.
If the parent then goes into a shame spiral & bribes the child with a previously denied fizzy drink score 5 points.
If the parent uses the phrase “I am not brining you here again” score 6 points & start with a bonus 2 points when they are there next week.
Behaviour that results in staff intervention is “Bingo” and the game is over. However don’t shout this out for your own safety.
The person with the highest score when you leave wins.
